Who is Playcount for?
Programmers, owners, and sales teams at multi-station radio networks. Your account gives you access to the specific stations you manage — the dashboard, map, and analytics pages show only those, nothing else.
How fresh is the live data?
Every panel — dashboard, map, now-playing, and song history — refreshes on a 60-second interval. You never need to reload the page; the numbers update in place.
Can I compare two periods?
Yes. The Comparisons page overlays a main range against a comparison range across concurrent listeners, unique listeners, total listening hours, average session duration — and breaks each down by station, country, device, and player.
What about scheduling shows?
The Show Scheduler is a visual weekly editor. Add, edit, and delete shows; copy a day's schedule to another day. Everything is stored in UTC and displayed in your local timezone.
What geographic data is available?
Every listener is resolved to country, region, and city using MaxMind GeoLite2. The live map clusters them geographically; the analytics pages break them down by percentage with flag icons at each level.
Which streaming players are tracked?
Playcount reads the user-agent string reported by each listener's client and categorises it — Chrome, Firefox, Safari, VLC, TuneIn, iTunes, Winamp, and others. You can filter analytics by player type on any page that supports it.
